The 'Schathuis'

An intimate space with lots of privacy, suitable for a relaxed dinner among friends or a select wedding ceremony, a small party or a meeting at a surprising location. Originally historic stables, at the time they literally were nothing less than a showroom where the landed gentry on the De Havixhorst estate could show off their cattle.

  • The 'Tuinzaal'

The 'Tuinzaal'

One of the showpieces on the estate: a successful mix of very old and tasteful modernity. In use as a celebration venue and event space since the year 2000. A beautiful, stylish space with plenty of respect for the past; as they gaze out of the windows, your guests will be treated to a view of the rear facade of a thatched farmhouse. Thanks to the large windows that offer a view of the castle gardens (patio doors!), this room looks like a green garden room. The Tuinzaal lends itself very well to everything that needs just that little more space.

The 'Spiegelzaal'

The Spiegelzaal is formal, perhaps a bit imposing, but still welcoming. Here too the hospitable atmosphere of De Havixhorst is tangible. Perfect for a special dinner or an intimate, charismatic party. Perfect for combining with the Voorzaal and the Lounge. And of course, access to all the excellent food that comes out of the kitchen of our chef Maurice Blokzijl.

The 'Voorzaal'

The Voorzaal of House De Havixhorst is small and intimate, homely and warm. If there are more of you, we can open the suite doors and expand into the spacious back room. View of the entrance gate and the forecourt of the castle. A charming space in which to spend a pleasant afternoon or evening with a few close friends. Just cross the hall and you can access our ‘other’ front room, our Lounge and bar.

The 'Serre'

If the main building of De Havixhorst were still a private residence, this would undoubtedly be the favourite place for everyone living there. Undoubtedly “a room with a view”. In the morning, the rays of the rising sun enter from the east; in the evening the Serre catches the last western rays of the sun as it sinks below the horizon. From the chic sophisticated Serre you can look out over the Baroque castle gardens and the beginning of the De Havixhorst estate forest, directly behind the house and the moat.

The Wine Cellar

Well hidden under the arches of the house is a particular elongated space with a lot of history. This is where we store all the beauty that makes our wine list so special, under perfect conditions. Guests are also welcome down here for a tasting session, a drink or a part of a dinner. A bit exciting and definitely romantic, especially when the candlesticks are lit. It gives the evening an extra special touch, the intimate, somewhat ‘secret’ atmosphere, which helps make the meeting unforgettable.

The 'Orangerie'

In a quiet place at the back of our walled herb garden is our beautiful Orangerie, a glass house in a curved frame. Originally built as an exemplary greenhouse – it is now used as such by our gardener in early spring. The perfect place to enjoy a drink in good company on a warm summer’s day. The view is unique: the flower beds, the herbs, the espaliers, and the large De Havixhorst house and intimate Koesthuis in the distance.
