At De Havixhorst, we are fortunate to collaborate with two fantastic cake suppliers: Sam and Nel and De Zoetige Taart. Both suppliers excel in creating beautiful and delicious cakes, where virtually anything is possible, from intricate sugar flowers to trendy naked cakes and flavorful sweet tables. We work closely with them to ensure that our guests can expect the best service.
At De Havixhorst, we have the pleasure of collaborating with De Eenhoorn Coffee & Tea, our beloved supplier of artisanal coffee and tea. They share our passion for quality and honesty in products, and together, we aim for nothing less than the best.

Sam, the 'choconnoisseur' behind BitterZoet Chocolade, blends the world of chocolate with foraging. The fruits, herbs, nuts, and spices are carefully harvested from the immediate surroundings, in collaboration with Food Forest Het Moeras, local growers, and neighbors. Taste the power of the North and his passion for chocolate, where the region, seasons, and unique flavor combinations come together.
Our dairy products come directly from the farm, De Melktap in Nijeveen. This choice is not only good for the farmer and the cows but also enhances the quality of the milk itself. The milk is richer and more flavorful than factory-produced milk, which contributes to the delicious products we serve. We take pride in our partnership with De Melktap and the high-quality dairy they supply us with.
Nico Donkelaar provides us with high-quality olive oil, from the kitchen to the table. Nico is the olive oil expert of the Netherlands. As he puts it, he must have fallen into a pot of olive oil as a child - otherwise, he can't explain his fascination with it. This unique collaboration with Nico Donkelaar allows us to treat our guests to the very best olive oil and vinegar for an unforgettable culinary experience.
At De Havixhorst, we love all things pure and artisanal, and that includes our bread. Our bread is homemade using flour that is authentically ground by the dedicated volunteers at De Wieker Meule. This collaboration with De Wieker Meule allows us to delight our guests with delicious, freshly baked bread, prepared with a passion for the craft and a respect for tradition.
Our neighbor, Aunt Koosje, plays a special role for us.
She lovingly manages a herd of Scottish Highland cattle exclusively for us. These cheerful heritage cattle are organically raised and carefully processed by Lantinga Butcher Shop in Wanneperveen. Thanks to this unique collaboration, we can treat our guests to high-quality, sustainably sourced meat with a local touch.
Our gardens and the surrounding area are more than just a beautiful backdrop; they also serve as our supplier of fresh and flavorful ingredients. With love and dedication, we cultivate a variety of herbs, vegetables, and specialty crops that make their way directly into our kitchen. We take great pleasure in managing our gardens to ensure that you can enjoy them at your table as well.
Unfortunately, we can't solely rely on our own garden and surroundings for all our ingredients. Sometimes, we enlist a little help from afar. Thanks to suppliers like Veltman Vis, Meat Street, and others, we can consistently deliver the quality we promise you.
